December 15, 2020 Update
Lafayette County School District, in an extra effort to provide a safe environment for all and a quality education for our students, will be pivoting grades K-1 from our current onsite instruction to virtual learning from the close of business today, Tuesday, December 15 through the scheduled Christmas holidays. On-site instruction will resume on January 4, 2021.
Assignment packets are being sent home today with students. Students with Chromebooks may continue to complete assignments through “BUZZ”. ***Should you have any questions about the assignments, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher via email or by calling the elementary office at 870-921-4270.
Currently, we are still having on-site instruction for grades 2-12th. It is our goal to maintain a safe and productive on-site learning environment for our students and staff. Buses will continue to run as usual.
The District will continue to follow CDC, ADH and DESE guidelines and recommendations for proper cleaning and disinfecting of our facilities and buses. Parents, please remember to keep your student home if they exhibit any symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, headache, and/or loss taste and smell. Working together, we can help decrease the spread of Covid-19 in our school and community.
